ABOUT

Eddie Alorda is a Partner at Deepwater Vertical Transportation and an accomplished elevator industry professional with more than 15 years of experience spanning operations, service, repair, modernization, new installation, sales, technology integration, and executive leadership.

Eddie began his career in 2011 with one of the world’s largest elevator OEMs, starting in service and repair sales in Miami. After establishing a strong track record of performance and customer relationship management, he was promoted into sales leadership in the Philadelphia market before returning to South Florida to take on increasingly senior operational roles.

As Branch Manager in West Palm Beach, Eddie was responsible for the performance and day-to-day operations of the local business. He was subsequently promoted to District General Manager, overseeing both the West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale operations. In this role, Eddie held responsibility across all four major lines of the elevator business—maintenance, repair, modernization, and new installation—leading an organization of more than 250 employees and overseeing operations generating more than $125 million annually.

Throughout his career, Eddie has also developed extensive experience with the rapidly evolving technology shaping modern vertical transportation systems. His expertise includes destination dispatch and destination control systems, interactive touchscreen interfaces, digital signage and displays, building security integration, access control, facial recognition and biometric technologies, and other advanced systems designed to integrate elevators with today’s intelligent building environments. Early in his career, Eddie was involved in pioneering touchscreen elevator applications in the Miami market.

This combination of traditional elevator expertise and emerging technology gives Eddie a comprehensive understanding of how vertical transportation systems are evolving beyond the elevator itself. He has worked with the integration of elevator controls, security and access systems, user interfaces, building management technologies, and digital communication platforms—experience that is increasingly important as owners and developers seek smarter, more connected, and more secure buildings.

In 2025, Eddie joined ATTA Elevators as Regional Vice President for Florida, where he helped establish and grow the company’s Florida operation. His responsibilities included developing the regional organization, building customer and industry relationships, driving business development, and helping position the company for long-term growth in the Florida market.

Eddie now brings his extensive operational, commercial, technological, and industry experience to Deepwater Vertical Transportation, where he advises building owners, property managers, developers, and other stakeholders on complex vertical transportation matters. His background managing elevator operations from both the major-OEM and independent contractor perspectives provides him with a practical understanding of elevator maintenance, repairs, modernization, new technology, capital planning, equipment performance, contract strategy, and the challenges owners face throughout the lifecycle of their vertical transportation systems.

Eddie attended Florida International University, where he studied International Relations with a minor in Marketing. He has also completed multiple leadership and communication programs through Dale Carnegie and holds an OSHA 30 certification, reflecting his continued commitment to leadership, safety, innovation, and professional development.
